SPARK stands for self-awareness, perspective, attitude, respect, and knowledge. SPARK is a developmental counseling class provided to all 7th graders for a 9 week class. Some of the topics discussed include drug/alcohol awareness, suicide awareness/prevention and depression, character education, digital abuse, abstinence and healthy relationships, conflict resolution, stress management, eating disorders, peer pressure, bully prevention, recycling, goal setting, and community service. Students will continue their character education in 8th grade with SHINE taught by Mrs. Warren. |
