PowerSchool now requires parents to register before using the Parent Portal. Typing in the student codes will not work alone anymore. Sign up and you will be able to link all of your student(s) to a single login.
There is also an app available for iPhone/iPad users. It is called "PowerSchool for Parents" and can be downloaded for free from the iTunes store.

CPC meetings will be held the third Thursday of the month at 5:30. So...mark your calendars!!!!!!!! First Meeting August 15!!!
Our first annual Muffins with Mom will be held Tuesday, August 27th.
Our first annual Donuts with Dad will be held Friday, August 30th!
Open House will be August 28 and BOOK FAIR is here!!!!!!!

Common Core Standards are now being used as part of a nationwide initiative to better prepare students for the workforce of TODAY. As parents, it is our responsibility and honor to help our children reach their full potential in today's society. The world is rapidly changing, and, unlike many of us, when our children go into the workforce, they may be competing for jobs internationally!!!!!!!!!!!! With technology and the world wide web, jobs are changing. Many careers will require our children to work with new technology. Common Core adds to the 3 R's including rigor and relevance. Students will be asked to think for themselves and apply what is learned. Clear cut answers will no longer be required, but in today's world, students will be asked to think outside the box and come up with a variety of possible solutions. |
